Scott Sommer is one of the most well-known and renowned dog handlers in the country. He has two Westminster Kennel Club Best-in-Shows and has collected countless wins inside the ring. His experience ranges from Bichon Frises to Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, and everything in-between.

Scott showed his first dog at age 5 as his mother was involved in the dog world as a handler and breeder, which helped facilitate his love for dogs. At age 16, he moved from Long Island, NY to apprentice for a dog handler in Houston, who at the time was the owner of the Kennel at Champions.

Over the years, Scott developed a reputation as one of the premier handlers in the country. He has shown the skills to work with numerous breeds of dogs and the ability to win with a variety of dogs that come to the kennel. Scott's clients range in location from Houston to New York City to China.
Scott currently lives in Spring, Texas. His sister, Patricia, also works at the kennel.
Scott's first Westminster win was in 2001 with J.R., a Bichon Frise, and his second win was in 2009 with Stump, a Sussex Spaniel.
